What are You Speaking?

Dear Ones,

What are you speaking?  Dear friends, let’s speak to our mountains, not about them, and I know that God will either take you to the mountain top and show you His beautiful view, or He will level the mountain in front of you.  Then you will enter His rest.

So much of what we go through in life depends on the thoughts we think and the words we speak.  Let’s commit to bring our thoughts under the submission of the Word and to line up our words with God’s Word.               Scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue, and we are satisfied by the fruit of our lips – or our speech (Proverbs 18:20-21).

God is very serious about the words we choose to speak.  He is so serious and wants to impress upon us how important it is to speak His Words, Words of Life, that in Job 22:28 He says, “Thou shalt decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.”  I wouldn’t need a single other Scripture than that one to convince me that God is teaching us to only speak His Light which is His Word to establish His plans in our lives and also to convince me that the words which I speak matter.

Just in case that’s not enough for you, though, let’s look at a few more Scriptures.  Proverbs 18:7 says, “A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.”  Wow!  That means that the words we choose, if chosen foolishly, can bring destruction, and of course, none of us wants that!  I’m so glad God gives us a warning to open our eyes, but He never leaves us there.  He always gives us the solution, a way out, a way of escape, a remedy, and a plan to succeed!  So, God goes on to say, “Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”  From this, I know that if I keep my Words in line with God’s Words, I will keep myself from many troubles.  That sounds like peace to me, and when I am at peace, I can rest.  God gives me rest when I agree with His Word and speak it to my mountains.

Let’s just look at a few more “solution-to-my-mountain” Scriptures.  Proverbs 12:6 tells me, “…the mouth of the upright shall deliver them,” and Proverbs 10:11 lets me know that “[t]he mouth [words] of a righteous man [or woman] is a well of life.”  Thanks, God!  When I speak Your Words, I am speaking the very Life, the Creative Force, the Breath of God into my situation.  My situation has to change for the better!  Scripture tells me when I line up my Words with God’s Words, the words of my lips will preserve me (Proverbs 14:3).  My Words are sweet when they agree with God, and “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones (Proverbs 16:24).

Do you need more to convince you that Words matter?  Do your own study.  These are just the tip of the iceberg about all that God has to say about the importance of our Words.  Do you know your ministering spirits or angels go forth to help you when you speak God’s Words of Life into your circumstance?  Read Hebrews 1:14.  The Word of God, His promises, activate the angels to work on your behalf.  That’s power and provision for any problem!

Speak the promise of God and see your mountain move,

Pastor Lisa Marie

If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life and desire to, pray this:  Dear God, I believe that Jesus is your Son, that He died on the cross for me and was resurrected for my redemption.  I choose to make Jesus the Lord of my life.  I thank you for forgiving me and for filling me with Your Holy Spirit.  I thank You that I am Your child, that You are my Father, and that You have great things planned for me.  Amen.
